Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical exams, for new and established patients across all age groups.
Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic health conditions within the scope of practice.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging to inform patient care plans.
Prescribe medications, medical equipment, and treatment regimens as appropriate.
Perform clinical procedures, including but not limited to contraceptive implants, IUD insertions, suturing, skin biopsies, and joint injections.
Collaborate regularly with supervising physicians and clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
Provide health education and counseling to patients and families, focusing on prevention and wellness.
Document all patient interactions and care plans accurately in electronic health records.
Proactively manage patient communications via electronic health systems and phone consultations.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and the development of clinical guidelines.
Train and mentor medical assistants and other support staff as needed.
Support multiple clinic locations, as required, to meet organizational needs.
