Job Description
The Clinical Supervisor will play a central role in supporting the growth and competency of supervisees through structured supervision, ethical guidance, and a trauma-informed, relational approach to clinical practice. The Clinical Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring supervisees remain in compliance with clinical policies and timely, accurate documentation. This is a part-time position from 5-10 hours a week.

Key Responsibilities

Provide individual, triad, and group clinical supervision to graduate-level interns, practicum students, and post-graduate clinicians working toward licensure (LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, LP, etc.)

Support the development of clinical competencies including assessment, diagnosis, case conceptualization, treatment planning, and documentation

Conduct performance evaluations and collaborate with academic supervisors for supervisees still enrolled in graduate programs

Offer written feedback and participate in remediation planning when needed

Maintain accurate documentation of supervision activities and hours for licensure verification and clinic records

Supervision sessions in accordance with licensure and academic program requirements

Maintain a supervision process grounded in ethical standards, cultural humility, and trauma-informed care

Guide supervisees in professional development, self-of-the-therapist work, and adherence to legal and ethical standards

Participate in regular meetings with the clinic’s leadership and supervisory teams and contribute to an inclusive, collaborative, and reflective clinical culture

Ability to be on-site at the Boulder location at least one day a week to support unlicensed staff and provide in-person individual and group supervision as needed. During time not supervising, Supervisor may use community space for own professional use and individual offices as they are available.
Qualifications

Active licensure in the state of Colorado (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LP)

A minimum of 5 years post-licensure clinical experience, including work with individuals and families

Completion of formal clinical supervision training/certification or at a minimum two years of supervisory experience

Demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed care, crisis assessment and intervention, reporting, and ethical decision-making

Familiarity with relational and systemic therapy models

Experience working with BIPOC and marginalized populations and experience in supporting clients with complex needs and under Medicaid

Commitment to a diverse and inclusive community, understanding of the dynamics of privilege and oppression, and the impact these have on equity, access, and opportunity for both clients and supervisees

Experience supervising graduate-level clinicians and/or clinicians pursuing licensure

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Proficiency in software programs (Google Workspace, Gmail, etc) and electronic health record systems (EHRs)

Familiarity with Colorado’s DORA regulations for mental health professionals

Experience working and maintaining high levels of confidential information in a small community
Preferred Experience

Previous work in community mental health or multidisciplinary settings

Experience collaborating with academic programs and licensure-track clinicians

Experience or knowledge of the justice system and justice-involved clients.
