About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Rotating Equipment Specialist to expertly repair and maintain a diverse range of industrial rotating equipment, including compressors and turbines. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in equipment overhauls, precision measurement, and rigging to ensure our equipment operates at peak performance. Your contributions will directly impact operational efficiency and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Execute the safe and timely repair, replacement, and overhaul of rotating equipment, adhering to established procedures and safety protocols.
- Interpret technical drawings, sketches, and work scopes to accurately perform equipment modifications and installations.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers, to assess critical clearances and dimensions, ensuring optimal equipment performance.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of all maintenance activities, including inspection reports, photo logs, and hold tags, to ensure compliance and facilitate future maintenance efforts.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Uphold a clean, organized, and safe work environment, promoting a culture of safety and operational excellence.
- Provide guidance and training to junior technicians, fostering their professional development and enhancing the team's overall capabilities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with rotating turbo machinery maintenance and repair.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, work scopes, and specifications.
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced rigging techniques and crane operations.
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
- Certification in vibration analysis or other predictive maintenance techniques.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
