Job Summary

Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and seasonal specials based on culinary trends and customer preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage practices
- Use knife skills proficiently to chop, slice, dice, and prepare ingredients efficiently
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food with attention to quality and timing
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service delivery
Experience
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued
- Experience in fine dining establishments or upscale restaurants is highly desirable
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within the food industry or restaurant setting
- Demonstrated culinary experience with proficiency in meal preparation and food service techniques
- Knowledge of kitchen safety protocols, including proper knife skills and sanitation procedures
- Exposure to menu planning, catering, and serving in a fast-paced environment is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
