As a caregiver, you will provide dedicated, one-on-one support to an individual with intellectual disabilities during daytime hours. This role focuses on promoting independence, skill-building, and meaningful community engagement through structured activities and community immersion.
You will assist with daily living tasks while encouraging social interaction, participation in community outings, and personal development. This is an in-person position requiring reliable transportation and 5+ years experience preferred.
Provide direct support tailored to the individual’s needs and abilities
Assist with daily living activities and personal care as needed
Facilitate community immersion activities (outings, appointments, recreational activities, etc.)
Safely transport the individual to and from community activities
Encourage social interaction and skill development
Implement care plans and behavioral support strategies as directed
Monitor well-being and document progress or concerns
Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment

The ideal candidate:
Enjoys working one-on-one in a community-based setting
Promotes independence while providing appropriate support
Is comfortable transporting clients regularly
Demonstrates strong communication and problem-solving skills
Maintains professionalism and reliability
Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.
Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
5+ years experience preferred
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
Current auto insurance
Clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Compassionate, patient, and dependable demeanor
Ability to follow care plans and document daily activities
