Part-Time AM Dietary Aide/Dishwasher
Job Summary

Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and serving in accordance with dietary requirements and safety standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, ovens, and food prep tools
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and dining areas through proper sanitation and cleaning procedures
- Buss tables promptly after meals to ensure a tidy dining environment
- Handle food items with care, adhering to food safety and handling protocols to prevent contamination
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly at all times to promote workplace safety
- Support heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices during meal setup or cleaning activities
Skills
- Previous assisted living or dietary aide experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with food production, food handling, and sanitation standards in healthcare or food industry settings
- Knowledge of operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks during busy mornings
- Ability to work effectively with geriatric patients and understand their dietary needs
- Basic math skills for portioning and inventory tasks
- Excellent customer service attitude to create a positive dining experience for residents
- Commitment to workplace safety practices, including proper manual handling techniques
- Experience with food preparation, meal service, and adhering to dietary requirements in nursing homes or similar environments is a plus
