General Manager - Luxury Brands
As General Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all dealership activities to ensure dealership performance expectations and customer service levels are achieved. The General Manager is responsible for all day-to-day decision making, ensuring the dealership is always reacting quickly to the market and customers. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training and developing all staff. Completes all reporting and administrative procedures as required. The General Manager directly manages all operational units within the dealership including Sales Managers, the Office Manager and Fixed Operation Managers.
Responsibilities and qualifications:
- Hire, train, and motivate all variable department manager and sales staff
- Proven track record in automotive retail industry as an automotive General Sales Manager, New Car Manager, Finance Director, and Used Car Manager required
- Excellent business skills
- Solid supervisory and leadership experience, with a track record of mentoring and growing employees
- Ability to work a car deal from front to back efficiently
- Manage and oversee activities of variable operations
- Hands-on active management style that gets involved in all aspects of the sales process
- Assist sales managers with ensuring volume commitments to the manufacturer are met
- Meets with sales/finance staff individually to develop monthly and annual goals and objectives, and to review actual performance
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship with lending institutions and manufacturer personnel
- Communicates management policies and procedures to all Team Members while maintaining and developing a positive team attitude and exceptional morale
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
- 7-10 years of automotive experience highly preferred
- Experience as an automotive GSM or General Manager required
