As a Cashier, you’ll be the welcoming face of our marketplace, helping customers feel seen, supported, and inspired by our mission.
What You’ll Do:
- Greet and assist customers, vendors, and volunteers with a friendly, mission-driven attitude
- Guide customers smoothly through checkout using our Point-of-Sale system (SNAP, DUFB, gift cards, etc.)
- Promote Locavore events, memberships, and community programs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout space
- Restock and tidy shelves, displays, and common areas
- Communicate updates through Slack and daily check-ins with the manager
- Ensure accuracy in till reconciliation and discount application
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Checkout Time: Average <5 minutes per customer
- Till Accuracy: 100% reconciliation accuracy
- Customer Engagement: Help drive 10% growth in memberships & event sales
- SOP Compliance: 100% checklist completion per shift
