SYMX Energy is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Solar Farm Project Manager to lead the successful execution of large-scale solar energy projects onsite at Hereford , Texas. This pivotal role involves overseeing all phases of construction, from permitting and design review through commissioning, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively participates in all preconstruction services by reviewing Owner's expectations/criteria, coordinating with the design team and owner, and reviewing and commenting on design document submittals.
Carries out initial site and project information reviews to help identify the work and resources necessary to complete the proposed project as well as identifying the key challenges the project team will need to address.
Identifies key subcontractors, participates in partnering sessions, investigates the site, and identifies long-lead items.
Manage site project team comprising construction managers, site engineers, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Develops bid packages including scopes, specifications, and schedule information.
Develops and maintains progress reports, reviews subcontractor requisitions and vendor invoices, and processes monthly owners’ requisitions and invoices.
Manages the change order process on site, drives margin improvement as well as loss control on-site.
Helps to create, maintain, and review project budgets.
Participate in scheduling meetings to review detailed project schedules, resource-loaded schedules, and drives the 3 week look-ahead schedule on-site.
Administers document control RFI process, prepares monthly reports, maintains project management such as Procore, and obtains home office approvals, where necessary, to follow company policy
Promotes subcontractor and design team relations and interacts regularly with the Project Owner.
Coordinate with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
Works and complies with the local utilities and interconnection utilities to ensure prompt energization of the project site substation and export of electrical power onto the grid.
Maintains healthy relationships on-site with the landowner and project neighbors.
Participates in client-promoted activities and complies with client needs.
Participates in company-sponsored events, task team committees, industry-related organizations, and college/general recruiting activities.
Partakes in training programs, continuing education, seminars, and conferences.
Mentors and educates other team members on-site to ensure they continue to grow and work together successfully to add value to the Company.
Responsible for championing company culture and project site team morale.
Monitors project performance against established metrics and implements corrective actions as needed.
Promptly alerts and requests help as needed from supervisor and off-site resources,
Conducts regular project reviews and provides status updates to executive leadership.
Identifies and mitigates risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle to maximize profitability for the Company and partners.
Participates in the negotiation of contracts and manages relationships with suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
Ensures adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
Contributes to a smooth transition to the Project Operations and Maintenance team on completion of the construction project.
Manages, minimizes, and resolves project Punch List on-site from the start to the Project so that the work is completed Punch List free on handover.
Drives continuous improvement in project management and construction methods to improve safety, quality, and production on site.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
PMP certification or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
7+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in utility-scale solar and/or other renewable energy projects.
Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-million dollar projects from inception to completion.
Strong understanding of solar PV technology, utility interconnection requirements, and energy storage systems.
Experience with permitting processes and regulatory compliance for large-scale energy projects.
Proficiency in project management software and tools such as Procore.
Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and construction methodologies.
Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
Will be based on-site from site mobilization until substantial completion. In between construction projects, work will be a hybrid model between home base, visiting sites, headquarters office (Miami, FL) and visiting proposed contractors and supplier facilities.
Strong computer skills are a necessity, including familiarity with construction project management applications.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to interface directly with trade contractors, owners' representatives, the design team, building departments, and other team members

Pay: $115,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
