Responsibilities
- Operate equipment such as straight trucks, pallet jacks and forklift. The ability to load, unload, and transport materials snd customer homes efficiently.
- Good customer service skills and the ability to be part of a team.
- Safely load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of heavy or delicate goods through mechanical knowledge and proper techniques.
- Coordinate with warehouse supervisors to plan and execute moves, ensuring safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly stacking pallets, securing loads, and performing routine equipment inspections.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by managing inventory flow, utilizing equipment, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers with a focus on materials handling.
- Prior experience operating equipment such as forklifts, or pallet jacks is highly preferred, but will train the right person.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to warehouse work.
- Experience involving loading & unloading trucks, but will train the right individual.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during loading & unloading tasks.
