Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Office Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our VA facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in janitorial and custodial services, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness. This role is essential in ensuring that our office spaces are hygienic, organized, and conducive to productivity. Prior experience in commercial cleaning, floor care, or industrial cleaning is highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to work in a professional setting where cleanliness and maintenance are prioritized.
Part time position - 12 hrs week

Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal across office areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, conference rooms, and common areas according to established standards.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, and carpet cleaning to preserve flooring quality.
- Use cleaning equipment and supplies safely and effectively; perform light maintenance tasks as needed.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored; notify management of supply needs.
- Follow safety protocols related to custodial work and handle hazardous materials appropriately.
- Assist with special projects such as deep cleaning or facility maintenance tasks when required.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct oneself with integrity while on duty.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial services, including commercial or industrial cleaning preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing and polishing.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks and general cleaning procedures.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively within scheduled shifts.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards.
Physical ability to perform cleaning duties which may include lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and walking throughout the facility.
