Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and perform basic maintenance on truck and tanker to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Assist with utility locating, the use of hands and power tools necessary for minor basic mechanic activities.
- Support road construction projects by manual handling, in accordance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working outdoors on construction sites; adhere to all OSHA standards and site-specific safety procedures.
- Collaborate with team members on site to execute tasks such as asphalt paving, grading, utility installation, and site cleanup efficiently
Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience operating commercial trucks such asphalt tankers, dump trucks, or similar vehicles preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge of truck maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations governing commercial truck operations; committed to safety protocol adherence at all times.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely in outdoor work environments.
- Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for various tasks on-site; capable of some mechanic or utility locating is advantageous.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining a focus on safety and quality standards.
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions; comfortable working on active construction sites. Pay: $1,200.00 - $3,000.00 per week
