We are seeking a motivated and dependable Restaurant Shift Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience. This role is responsible for leading the team on shift, maintaining operational standards, and supporting both front- and back-of-house functions.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, a customer-focused mindset, and prior restaurant management experience. As a Shift Manager, you will play a key role in driving efficiency, team performance, and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff during assigned shifts
- Delegate tasks effectively and monitor team performance
- Ensure a welcoming environment and high-quality guest service
- Address guest questions or concerns professionally and promptly
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company policies
- Maintain inventory levels and request food and supply orders as needed
- Coordinate shift coverage when employees are absent or request time off
- Assist team members in resolving operational or service challenges
- Monitor daily sales, labor, and operational costs
- Balance the cash register and complete end-of-shift reports
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers during product deliveries
- Open and/or close the restaurant when assigned
- Communicate pending tasks and updates to the incoming Shift Manager
- Report maintenance issues and training needs to management
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a Shift Manager or in a supervisory restaurant role
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including cash handling and payments
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) – Required
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends (Holidays)
- Customer-focused with the ability to handle concerns professionally
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
