Forsyth Tech is seeking a detail-oriented and creative Digital Content and Copyeditor Specialist to support the development, editing, and management of content across digital platforms. This part-time role is ideal for a strong writer and editor who understands digital communication, AP style, audience-focused messaging, and the importance of clear, accurate content.
The Digital Content and Copyeditor Specialist will write, edit, proofread, and optimize content for websites, social media, email campaigns, blogs, landing pages, digital ads, and other marketing materials. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, understands how to adapt content for different platforms, and can help ensure all messaging is consistent, engaging, accessible, and aligned with Forsyth Tech’s brand voice.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven experience as a copywriter, editor, content specialist, digital communications specialist, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of AP style, grammar, punctuation, spelling, and proofreading best practices.
- Ability to write and edit for a variety of digital platforms, audiences, and formats.
- Strong understanding of digital content best practices, including web writing, SEO, accessibility, and user-focused messaging.
- Ability to turn complex information into clear, concise, and engaging content.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team.
- Comfort managing multiple projects and deadlines at once.
- Familiarity with content management systems, email marketing platforms, social media tools, and digital project management tools is preferred.
- Basic understanding of analytics, keyword use, email engagement, and digital campaign performance is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in copywriting, editing, digital content, marketing, journalism, communications, or a related field.
- Experience writing or editing content for higher education, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, or corporate marketing.
- Experience creating or editing content for websites, social media, email campaigns, blogs, digital ads, and landing pages.
- Experience using a content management system to update, format, or publish web content.
- Experience supporting digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive digital communication practices.
Essential Duties

- Write, edit, and proofread clear, accurate, and engaging copy for websites, social media, email campaigns, blogs, landing pages, digital ads, and other digital marketing materials.
- Review content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, AP style, clarity, tone, accuracy, and consistency with brand standards.
- Support digital content updates across web pages, newsletters, social platforms, and other online channels.
- Optimize digital copy for readability, search performance, user experience, and accessibility.
- Adapt messaging for different platforms, audiences, and formats, including short-form social captions, long-form blog content, email copy, website content, and campaign messaging.
- Assist with content planning for digital campaigns, including drafting copy for web, email, social media, and paid digital channels.
- Collaborate with marketing, design, social media, web, and communications team members to develop cohesive content across platforms.
- Edit and refine submitted content from departments and campus partners to ensure it is clear, accurate, audience-focused, and aligned with Forsyth Tech’s voice.
- Conduct research and fact-check information to ensure content is accurate, timely, and credible.
- Help maintain content calendars, project timelines, and digital content workflows.
- Support basic content management system updates, including formatting, uploading, editing, and organizing digital content.
- Review digital content for accessibility, including clear language, descriptive links, headings, alt text guidance, and user-friendly structure.
- Meet deadlines while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
