Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Material Handler I to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for moving, storing, and processing raw materials and finished goods in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, able to lift up to 50 lbs., and comfortable working in varying temperatures, including hot conditions.
Essential Responsibilities
- Move, organize, and store raw materials and finished products.
- Wrap, label, and prepare pallets for shipment.
- Scan finished goods and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Load and unload trucks and production materials.
- Issue materials to production batches.
- Operate pallet jacks, floor jacks, automated equipment, and stretch wrappers.
- Assist with production, assembly, and packaging operations.
- Mix and grind materials according to production requirements.
- Assemble boxes and prepare packaging materials.
- Empty material bins into grinding equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing, material handling, or production experience preferred.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Basic math and counting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- English proficiency required for reading, writing, and communication.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Physical Requirements
- Stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Perform repetitive motions including reaching, grasping, and lifting.
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing and warehouse setting.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, including hot work areas, especially during warmer months and near production equipment.
- Dust, noise, and moving machinery may be present.
- Fast-paced environment with production deadlines and changing priorities.
