Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Nursery Manager to lead and inspire our early childhood education team. Duties
- Manage day-to-day nursery operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and licensing requirements
- Lead and motivate a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that support childhood development milestones
- Create a warm, welcoming environment that encourages exploration, learning, and social interaction
- Coordinate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address any concerns
- Oversee classroom management, ensuring activities are engaging, safe, and inclusive for all children
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental assessments, and health information
- Ensure all staff hold valid certifications such as first aid and child care qualifications
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, including classroom management and activity planning
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, and child safety procedures required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, staff, and external agencies
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment
- Background in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial but not required
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and inclusive teaching strategies
