Licensed Clinician (Associate) – Remote Telehealth

Work Location: 100% Remote (Telehealth)
About the Role
As a Licensed Associate Clinician, you will provide high-quality telehealth psychotherapy services to individuals experiencing a variety of mental health concerns. You will collaborate with an experienced clinical team while maintaining a client-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach to care.
This role is ideal for clinicians who enjoy autonomy, continuous learning, and contributing to the growth of an innovative private practice.
Primary ResponsibilitiesClinical Care
- Provide a minimum of 20 individual therapy sessions per week (unless otherwise approved).
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and initial evaluations.
- Perform Mental Status Examinations (MSE) when clinically appropriate.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Provide individual psychotherapy through secure telehealth platforms.
- Address concerns including:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Trauma
- Grief and loss
- Adjustment disorders
- Stress management
- Relationship concerns
- Other behavioral health conditions within your scope of practice
- Conduct crisis assessments and follow established clinical protocols when needed.
- Coordinate care with physicians, psychiatrists, and community resources when appropriate.
Documentation & Compliance
- Complete progress notes, treatment plans, and required documentation within 24 hours after each client session.
- Maintain accurate documentation using SimplePractice.
- Follow insurance, legal, ethical, and organizational documentation standards.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state licensing regulations, and professional ethical codes.
- Participate in documentation reviews and quality assurance activities.
Professional Development
- Attend required biweekly clinical and administrative supervision.
- Participate in peer consultation and case discussions.
- Attend monthly training sessions provided by IOT.
- Complete assigned learning modules and compliance trainings.
- Stay current with best practices in telehealth and behavioral healthcare.
- Maintain all state-required continuing education and licensure requirements.
Marketing & Community Engagement
As part of helping grow the practice, clinicians are expected to participate in professional outreach activities, including:
- Creating educational social media content (posts, reels, videos, or stories)
- Writing psychoeducational blog articles for the IOT website
- Participating in networking and community outreach
- Building referral relationships with healthcare providers and community organizations
- Supporting ethical marketing initiatives that align with professional standards
- Representing IOT professionally in approved events and educational opportunities
Collaboration & Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and fellow clinicians.
- Participate in case consultations and interdisciplinary discussions.
- Maintain professional communication with clients and team members.
- Complete assigned operational projects and practice initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement efforts across the organization.
QualificationsRequired
- Master's or Doctoral degree in:
- Social Work
- Counseling
- Psychology
- Marriage and Family Therapy
- Or a related behavioral health discipline
- Active associate-level professional license in your state of practice
- Professional Liability (Malpractice) Insurance
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical or behavioral health experience
- Experience providing psychotherapy services
- Excellent clinical judgment and ethical decision-making
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth technology
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Private, professional workspace suitable for confidential telehealth sessions
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Experience using SimplePractice
- Telehealth certification or specialized telebehavioral health training
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally responsive care
- Experience with insurance-based documentation and compliance
