Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting young learners in a self-contained classroom setting designed for Kindergarten and 1st-grade students. Beginning August 19th, this contract position allows you to play an essential role in shaping the educational journey for a small group of students with diverse abilities, many of whom utilize AAC devices for communication.
Your instructional day runs from 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM, giving you dedicated time to focus on meaningful engagement and individualized instruction with a supportive caseload of approximately six students. Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 Endorsement.
- Experience or competency working with assistive technology, including AAC devices.
- Familiarity with individualized education plans and differentiated instruction.
- Passion for partnering with families, specialists, and support staff to promote student growth.
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom climate.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored instructional plans that meet each student’s unique needs.
- Use assistive technology to facilitate communication and learning.

- Collaborate with related service providers and classroom aides to deliver comprehensive support.
- Track and document student progress, maintaining compliance with all reporting requirements.
- Communicate proactively with families regarding student development and classroom happenings.
