Cell Phone & Electronics Repair Technician

About the Role
We are looking for a technically focused team member to join our Hudson location.
This position is centered on device diagnostics, repair quality, and teamwork. You will work closely with other technicians and front-of-house team members to manage shared repair queues, communicate repair findings, and provide a strong customer experience.
Professional repair experience is strongly recommended but not required. Candidates without professional experience will receive structured training and should demonstrate strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform repairs on phones, tablets, computers, gaming consoles, and other consumer electronics
- Diagnose hardware and software issues accurately
- Work collaboratively with technicians and front-of-house staff to manage shared repair queues
- Document diagnostics, repairs, parts usage, and testing results in the point-of-sale system
- Maintain high repair quality while minimizing rework and repeat issues
- Follow established repair procedures and testing requirements
- Follow inventory, parts-handling, ordering, and RMA procedures
- Communicate repair findings, timelines, and potential complications clearly
- Support customer check-ins, pickups, and general store operations when needed
- Provide scheduled support at other West District locations as needed
Technical Training and Expectations
You will be trained on our repair standards, diagnostic processes, testing procedures, and store workflows.
You should be prepared to:
- Learn phone and consumer-electronics repair procedures
- Follow repair standards without taking shortcuts
- Perform complete post-repair testing
- Maintain accurate documentation and parts control
- Work effectively in a collaborative, team-based repair environment
- Continue developing your technical ability over time
Professional experience repairing phones, tablets, computers, gaming consoles, or other electronics is a plus, but it is not required for candidates who demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn quickly.
Customer Support Expectations
Although technical repairs are the primary focus, this is not a back-room-only position.
You may be expected to:
- Explain diagnostic findings and repair options clearly
- Assist customers during check-in and pickup
- Help communicate pricing, timelines, warranties, and device condition
- Support front-of-house operations during high-volume periods
- Contribute to a professional and trustworthy customer experience

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
