Responsibilities
- Safely handle and transport food from the kitchen to dining areas, adhering to food safety standards and safe lifting practices
- Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation to support kitchen operations
- Clear and clean tables promptly by bussing and resetting for new guests
- Ensure all dishes are accurate by communicating effectively with kitchen staff using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Support guest services by delivering food with professionalism and a friendly attitude
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving supplies or equipment while following safe manual handling procedures
Skills
- Previous food service experience, including food running or serving roles
- Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and proper sanitation practices
- Experience working with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Strong communication skills to coordinate efficiently with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged standing or walking
- Familiarity with restaurant or banquet environments is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure guest satisfaction in person
