Home Health Account Executive (Outside Sales)
BrightStar Care of Plano/North Dallas is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Home Health Account Executive to drive referral growth and expand market presence throughout Tarrant County. We are looking for a self-starter with proven healthcare sales experience who thrives on building relationships, growing a territory, and delivering measurable results. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain referral relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, case managers, discharge planners, and other healthcare professionals.
- Grow referral volume and revenue through strategic territory management and business development activities.
- Conduct 45-50 face-to-face sales calls per week with prospective and existing referral partners.
- Establish a strong community presence and serve as a brand ambassador for BrightStar Care.
- Educate referral sources and community partners on BrightStar Care's skilled and non-skilled home healthcare services.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, local market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to facilitate a seamless referral and patient acceptance process.
- Develop and execute territory growth plans with measurable goals and objectives.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Accurately document all sales activities, referrals, opportunities, and outcomes in the CRM system.
- Provide regular updates regarding referral development, pipeline activity, and territory performance.
- Attend networking events, community events, healthcare meetings, and professional organizations to expand referral relationships.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 2-3 years of outside sales experience, preferably in healthcare.
- Proven success in business development, territory growth, and relationship management.
- Strong ability to generate referrals and develop new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while proactively communicating progress and results.
- Strong organizational, time management, and follow-through skills.
- Professional, accountable, and results-oriented.
- Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional growth.
Preferred
- Home health, hospice, healthcare staffing, rehabilitation, or related healthcare sales experience.
- Existing referral relationships within the local healthcare community.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Experience working with referral sources including hospitals, physicians, case managers, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living communities
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 90 days, the successful candidate will:
- Establish strong referral relationships across the territory.
- Build a consistent pipeline of qualified referral opportunities.
- Demonstrate effective CRM utilization and territory management.
- Generate measurable growth in referrals and revenue.
- Become a trusted resource among healthcare professionals in the community
Work Environment
- Approximately 80% or more of this role is spent in the field conducting outside sales calls and developing referral relationships.
- Frequent local travel throughout Tarrant County is required.
- Position requires prolonged driving, standing, walking, sitting, and computer use.
- Ability to lift and carry marketing materials and equipment up to 25 pounds.
