Position Overview:
The Vision Companies is seeking a detail-oriented Production Technician – Masking to join a growing manufacturing team in Blaine, MN. This position plays a critical role in preparing parts for production processes by accurately masking designated areas to ensure quality finishes and compliance with customer specifications.
The ideal candidate has excellent hand dexterity, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. This role requires precision, focus, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
Masking & Production Preparation
- Apply masking materials to parts and components according to work instructions and specifications
- Carefully protect designated surfaces during finishing and production processes
- Remove masking materials following production operations without damaging finished products
- Inspect parts before and after masking to ensure quality and accuracy
- Verify masking coverage meets customer and production requirements
- Prepare materials and components for production processing
Quality Control
- Perform visual inspections to identify defects, inconsistencies, or quality concerns
- Ensure all masking work meets established quality standards
- Follow detailed work instructions and production documentation
- Report quality issues or production concerns to supervisors promptly
Production Support
- Maintain production records and basic computer entries as required
- Organize materials and maintain efficient workflow throughout the production process
- Assist team members with additional production-related tasks as needed
- Support productivity goals while maintaining quality standards
Safety & Housekeeping
- Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
- Properly handle materials, tools, and production equipment
- Participate in ongoing safety and quality initiatives
Qualifications:
Required
- Stable work history
- Ability to read, write, understand, and speak clear English
- Basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, masking, production, or quality inspection experience
- Experience working with small parts and detailed handwork
- Familiarity with production documentation and quality standards
Working Conditions:

- Ability to lift and move materials up to 25 pounds as needed
