Key Responsibilities
- Support daily pharmacy operations at our Clifton location
- Accurately enter and process prescriptions using Micro Merchant Systems
- Handle prescription billing, insurance claims, reversals, and rejections
- Troubleshoot common third-party billing and insurance issues
- Communicate with insurance providers when necessary
- Assist with prior authorizations and refill requests
- Help manage inventory, medication ordering, and prescription workflow
- Maintain accurate patient, prescription, and insurance records
- Communicate professionally with pharmacists, patients, prescribers, and team members
- Deliver friendly and professional customer service
- Help maintain an accurate, efficient, and organized pharmacy environment
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Hands-on experience with Micro Merchant Systems
- Knowledge of pharmacy billing and insurance processing
- Ability to resolve rejected claims and common billing issues
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Dependable, responsible, and comfortable taking initiative
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Active New Jersey Pharmacy Technician registration
- Experience in an independent, retail, or community pharmacy
- Experience with prior authorizations, inventory, or medication ordering
- Familiarity with common insurance rejections and pharmacy billing procedures
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM
Weekends: None
