American Traveler is hiring a Full-Time Echo Technologist for a 13-week assignment with current ARDMS or CCI registration required.
-
Work setting includes clinic and cath lab, with potential need for hospital coverage as well
-
Monday through Friday schedule with varied shifts
-
On-call rotation every 3 weeks with 2 other techs, including 5 hours on Sunday mornings

13-week assignment length

Current state license required if applicable

Current ARDMS or CCI Registered (RCS)

BLS certification required
-
High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Associate's or bachelor's degree required

Allied Health Certification such as ARRT(CT) may be required

Perform transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms according to physician orders and department protocols

Prepare and position patients appropriately to ensure comfort, safety, and optimal imaging results
-
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper calibration for optimal image quality

Analyze acquired images to identify abnormalities and potential pathology
-
Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning

Ensure proper documentation of procedures, including patient information and image interpretation

Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines
-
Participate in quality assurance activities and ongoing continuing education
