Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools efficiently and safely.
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items are hygienic and ready for use.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas.
- Adhere to kitchen health and safety standards, including proper manual handling techniques and heavy lifting protocols.
- Maintain sanitation standards through regular cleaning of dishwashing stations, floors, and work surfaces.
- Support food handling procedures during meal service to ensure compliance with food safety management practices.
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and kitchen health standards.
- Experience with dishwashing equipment operation and basic kitchen tools such as knives.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing.
