The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living while promoting comfort, dignity, independence, and overall well-being. Working under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, the CNA provides high-quality care in accordance with individualized care plans, facility policies, and state and federal regulations.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
Observe residents and promptly report changes in physical, emotional, or mental condition to the licensed nurse.
Measure and record vital signs, weights, intake and output, and other resident information as assigned.
Assist with transfers, positioning, and ambulation using proper safety techniques and equipment.
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests while providing compassionate, respectful care.
Accurately document care provided in accordance with facility policies.
Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality resident outcomes.
Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, and resident safety guidelines at all times.
Promote residents' dignity, independence, and quality of life through compassionate, person-centered care.
Current North Carolina Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
CPR certification preferred.
Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is preferred but not required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service mindset with a commitment to compassionate resident care.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate reliability.
