Role Description
TRM is seeking a Senior Consultant (MRO Storerooms). The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in storeroom, warehouse, and inventory management practices, processes, and procedures. This role requires proven capability in establishing, managing, and leveraging CMMS/EAM inventory systems to support daily operations, along with a solid understanding of storeroom and warehouse best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
The ability to design, layout, and set up new storerooms, or redesign existing storerooms, is highly desirable.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position, requiring a combination of travel and remote work. All out-of-pocket travel and living expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with project guidelines.
Contractors will be placed into a project resource pool, and may be engaged on short notice as client project needs arise. While assignment timing and duration may vary, opportunities may become available quickly depending on client demand.
Prior to engagement, selected candidates will be required to complete the 1099 onboarding and engagement process with the Company’s Contracts Team, which will include a review of contractor requirements, compliance expectations, and execution of applicable independent contractor agreements.
Qualifications
- Experience in plant MRO and inventory management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Experience in consulting and implementing storeroom and repair parts strategies
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) or EAM software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Project management skills
- Prior experience running, working in, or managing stores and inventory is a plus
Relevant Skills (Preferred)
- Knowledge of MRO spare parts inventory
- Knowledge of procurement and experience working with integrated suppliers
- Certifications in SMRP and Prosci
