The Carpenter performs skilled work at the journeyman level in the construction, maintenance and repair of wooden articles, equipment and structures.
Employees in this class are responsible for performing skilled carpentry work in the construction, remodeling, alteration and maintenance of buildings, floors, roofs, stairways, partitions, doors, windows, screens, wood fixtures and furniture.
Work involves skilled hand and bench carpentry duties including the operation of power-driven wood-working machinery.
