Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our educational team at SCMV Options. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore the wonders of science through engaging lessons and hands-on experiments. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state and national science standards.
- Deliver engaging and interactive science instruction to middle school students, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources.
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a sense of community.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing timely feedback to support their learning.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate science concepts across the curriculum and participate in interdisciplinary projects.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and any concerns.
- Stay current with developments in science education and incorporate new technologies and methodologies into the classroom.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and school events to enhance teaching practices and contribute to the school community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification in Science for middle school levels.
- Proven experience teaching middle school science, with a strong understanding of the curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
