Job Summary
Ideal Construction is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and safety-focused Construction Laborer to support daily construction activities and job-site operations. The ideal candidate will assist with site preparation, material handling, basic construction tasks, cleanup, and general labor duties while helping maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily construction activities and job-site operations.
- Prepare, clean, and organize construction work areas.
- Load, unload, carry, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Assist skilled workers and crew members with assigned construction tasks.
- Use hand and power tools safely when trained and authorized.
- Measure, position, and prepare materials according to instructions.
- Assist with installation, assembly, demolition, repair, and maintenance work.
- Perform digging, lifting, hauling, mixing, and other general labor tasks.
- Remove construction debris and maintain clean work areas.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and securing construction materials.
- Follow supervisor instructions, project requirements, and safety procedures.
- Wear required personal protective equipment and follow all job-site safety rules.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions, damaged tools, or equipment problems.
- Keep tools, equipment, and materials organized and secure.
- Protect completed work and materials from damage.
- Work cooperatively with supervisors, contractors, skilled tradespeople, and other crew members.
- Perform other construction and general labor duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous construction, general labor, or job-site experience is preferred but not required.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and move construction materials and equipment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Safety-conscious and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday–Friday schedule may be available.
- Overtime, early mornings, or occasional weekend work may be required depending on project needs.
