Responsibilities
- Perform detailed cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Operate various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers to efficiently clean floors and surfaces.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a healthy environment for all.
- Conduct custodial tasks such as restocking supplies, sanitizing restrooms, and maintaining common areas to promote hygiene.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities, including heavy lifting and manual handling practices to prevent injuries.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client or staff inquiries professionally and courteously while maintaining a positive attitude.
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience with knowledge of commercial or residential cleaning standards.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely by adhering to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while following safe lifting practices.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent sanitation and cleanliness skills.
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is advantageous.
