Position Overview
Concentric Corporation is partnering with a premier destination venue in the Omaha metro area to identify a Director of Events. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and overall success of a wide variety of events while building strong community relationships that drive continued growth.

While business development is an important part of the role, this position is heavily focused on operational excellence ensuring every event is organized, executed flawlessly, and exceeds guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of weddings, corporate events, tournaments, meetings, social gatherings, and community events
- Oversee day-to-day event operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences from initial planning through event completion
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, businesses, and clients to generate new event opportunities
- Conduct venue tours, respond to inquiries, and develop customized event proposals
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the planning process and during events
- Coordinate event logistics, including catering, staffing, rentals, scheduling, room layouts, and event timelines
- Develop and manage Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) while ensuring accurate communication across departments
- Partner closely with food and beverage, culinary, operations, and leadership teams to ensure seamless event execution
- Monitor event budgets, department expenses, and operational performance while identifying opportunities to improve profitability
- Collaborate with marketing on promotions, community engagement, and event awareness initiatives
- Evaluate post-event feedback and implement continuous improvements to enhance the guest experience
- Foster a collaborative, service-focused culture while leading and supporting event staff
Qualifications
- 5+ years of leadership experience in event management, hospitality, venue operations, hotel management, food and beverage, or a related industry
- Experience leading events within hospitality, country clubs, hotels, restaurants, entertainment venues, or destination facilities
- Proven success managing multiple events and competing priorities simultaneously
- Experience coordinating large-scale events, weddings, tournaments, or corporate functions
- Strong operational leadership with the ability to organize people, processes, and timelines
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and customer service skills
- Experience developing budgets and managing departmental expenses
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and event management or POS systems
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. Relevant leadership experience will be considered in place of formal education.
Preferred Experience
- Business development or client relationship management experience
- Familiarity with banquet operations, catering, or hospitality management
