Kingdom Rock Children’s Village is seeking a passionate, energetic Toddler Lead Teacher to guide curious, active young learners (15 months–2 years 9 months) in a warm, nurturing and loving environment. At this stage, children are forming identity, learning independence, and beginning to understand community—and your leadership will help shape them spiritually, emotionally, and developmentally.
Position Overview
The Toddler Teacher leads curriculum, classroom management, and daily routines in a toddler classroom grounded in responsive caregiving, and developmentally appropriate practice. You will build meaningful relationships with both children and families while guiding a classroom team with confidence and compassion.
Qualifications
· Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field preferred
· EEC Teacher certification or qualification required
· Minimum 1 year of experience leading an early childhood classroom (Toddler experience preferred)
· Ability to model Christian values and share God’s love with children, families, and colleagues
· Strong understanding of toddler development, positive behavior management, and classroom structure
Skills & ResponsibilitiesInstruction & Curriculum
· Implement a dynamic and creative curriculum, and create faith-centered adaptations that support toddlers’ cognitive, physical, emotional, spiritual, and social growth
· Provide engaging activities that foster language development, motor skills, exploration, and early problem-solving
· Create faith-centered and developmentally appropriate adaptations that introduce children to Christian values, i.e.. incorporate prayer, songs, Bible stories, and Christian values into daily routines
Classroom Leadership
· Lead classroom staff with flexibility, positivity, and purpose
· Maintain strong classroom management and help toddlers navigate emotions, transitions, and routines
· Prepare lesson plans, documentation, and schedules
· Maintain a clean, organized, stimulating space designed for toddler safety and exploration
Child Development & Safety
· Observe, assess, and document developmental progress
· Demonstrate sound judgment to ensure safety at all times
· Guide toddlers through diapering, toileting readiness, mealtime routines, and self-help skills
· Update attendance and logs daily, and check first aid kits monthly
Family Partnerships
· Provide warm, consistent communication with families about milestones, routines, and classroom endeavors
· Support families in understanding developmental stages and learning
Team Responsibilities
· Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to strengthen the program
· Participate in meetings, trainings, staff activities, and school events
· Share in maintaining clean, well-organized classroom and program spaces
