Farm Stand Crew – Job Description
Position Summary:As a Barker’s Stand Crew member, you’re the first welcoming face our customers meet. You’re responsible for presenting the stand as clean, organized, well-stocked, and a pleasant place for customers to visit. You are friendly, reliable, and ready to support both customers and fellow crew members.
What you’ll be doing:
- You will greet customers warmly and offer helpful, friendly service
- You will be responsible for handling customer payments; including but not limited to: taking payments, making change as necessary, and opening and closing the registers.
- You will set up and maintain attractive produce displays , rotating and inspecting items for freshness and ensuring they always appear bountiful, beautiful, and overflowing
- You will help unload deliveries and support the field crew when they arrive with produce
- You will water porch, hanging, & greenhouse plants, deadheading as needed to ensure plants have aesthetic appeal
- You will obtain a knowledge of seasonal local produce and update signage to reflect what is in season, coming up, passed.
- You will keep all storage spaces organized and tidy
- You will communicate all messages, orders, and pass-offs between shifts via message boards and clear notes.
- You will take initiative — tidy displays, straighten signs, and find helpful tasks during slower times

- You are comfortable working independently or in a team centric environment
- You take pride in creating a clean, inviting space
- You can lift up to 35 lbs
- You ask questions and receive constructive feedback with open arms

- You have gardening experience - planting and or maintenance
- You have a keen eye for aesthetic improvements and take initiative to beautify the space around you
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
