American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with a minimum of 4 years of OR experience and specialized skills in Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics for a 2x10-hour day shift contract in Atlanta, GA.

Hospital-based Operating Room setting

Service lines include Bariatrics, Urology, Neurology, ENT, Oral Surgery, Plastics, Transplant, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics

Schedule: 2x10-hour day shifts, Monday and Friday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Weekend requirements are variable and will be discussed during the interview

Call requirements are variable and will be discussed during the interview

Floating within the facility and to Outpatient as needed, within scope of practice

Active GA or Compact RN license required

Minimum 4 years of OR experience required prior to travel

Hands-on experience in Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics required

Must provide copies of all required certifications for consideration

Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are strongly preferred

First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Local candidates are accepted for this position

RTO is capped at 7 days total; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
-
Holiday blackout dates apply: 11/23–11/29 and 12/21–1/3; no holiday RTO will be approved during these periods
-
Holiday coverage policy: if 1–2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers must work at least 2, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review

Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

No schedule change requests or alternate shifts will be accommodated; the posted schedule is firm

Travelers who have previously worked at any facility in this health system must have been away for a full year before returning as a traveler

Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed on time; delays may result in a two-week start date pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
