Atlas Staffing is hiring a Mill Utility Worker for a well-established grain milling company in Spokane! This is a full-time position with excellent pay, and long-term career growth. Shift: Rotating schedule – 7:00am-3:00pm, 3:00pm-11:00pm, and 11:00pm-7:00am
Schedule: Six days on, two days off
Wage: $24.71/hour + $1.00/hour shift differential
Objective: In this position, you will be responsible for cleaning and tempering wheat,
monitoring mill equipment, maintaining sanitation standards, and assisting with general
mill operations. Other duties may be required as assigned by the team.
Mill Utility Worker Job Responsibilities:
1. Transfer wheat from the elevator to the mill
2. Clean and temper wheat according to production requirements
3. Monitor mill equipment, magnets, and processing systems
4. Sample and record moisture levels of dry and tempered wheat
5. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of mill equipment and work areas
6. Load and unload trucks and railcars as needed
7. Operate forklifts, skid steers, grain dryers, and similar equipment
8. Utilize computerized systems to process and record operational data
9. Perform general housekeeping and maintenance duties
10. Assist operations personnel and supervisors with mill-related tasks
11. Follow all company safety procedures and operational guidelines
12. Other duties as assigned
Mill Utility Worker Requirements:
1. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following company safety procedures
2. Previous manufacturing, agricultural, grain handling, or maintenance experience preferred
3. Basic computer skills preferred
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
5. Reliable attendance and punctuality
6. Professional attitude with strong communication skills
7. Ability to lift up to 55 lbs unassisted
8. Ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, climb stairs and ladders
9. Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
10. Comfortable working in varying conditions including heat, cold, dust, and noise
11. Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
