Job Title: RN House Supervisor
Location:Mauston, WI
13-week travel assignment
Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Pay Rate: $63Hourly
Mandatory Qualifications for This Job
- Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) License (required)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
- Minimum 3+ years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire)
- Current or ability to obtain within 12 months:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred
- Experience in House Supervisor, Charge Nurse, Nursing Leadership, or Clinical Supervisor roles preferred
- Strong knowledge of:
- Patient Flow Management
- Bed Placement
- Emergency Response
- Clinical Decision-Making
- Staff Coordination
- Hospital Operations
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise hospital operations during assigned night shifts to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
- Coordinate patient care activities across Medical-Surgical, Emergency Department, Birthing Center, and Surgery departments.
- Monitor and manage patient flow, admissions, transfers, discharges, and bed assignments.
- Provide clinical leadership and serve as the primary nursing resource for hospital staff.
- Mentor nurses and clinical team members while promoting professional nursing practice.
- Support nursing staff with clinical interventions and direct patient care when necessary.
- Assist with staffing coordination and resource allocation across departments.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, department directors, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Respond to patient care concerns and facilitate timely problem resolution.
- Coordinate after-hours pharmacy requests and ensure continuity of patient care.
- Retrieve critical supplies and equipment required for patient treatment.
- Assist with patient placement decisions based on acuity and available resources.
- Lead emergency response activities, including Incident Command during Mass Casualty Incidents.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, Joint Commission requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct routine leadership rounding to assess departmental operations and patient care needs.
- Support quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and risk management activities.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, visitors, physicians, and hospital administration.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Meditech EMR.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive patient-centered culture.
- Perform additional leadership and nursing duties as assigned.

Pay: $55.00 - $62.00 per hour
Work Location: On the road
