Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of nail services such as manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and creativity
- Maintain strict sanitation and sterilization protocols to ensure client safety and hygiene standards are met
- Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable nail designs or treatments based on color theory and current trends
- Provide additional beauty services like eyelash extensions, body waxing, or hair threading to enhance client satisfaction
- Upsell retail products such as nail care items or skincare products to boost sales and improve client results
- Stay informed about the latest trends in nail art, esthetic laser treatments, and other beauty techniques to offer innovative services
- Build strong relationships through excellent communication skills and personalized customer service that encourages repeat visits
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology license or certification with training in nail care and esthetic treatments
- Proven experience in performing professional nail services with attention to detail
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures and safety regulations within a salon environment
- Familiarity with color theory, nail art techniques, and current beauty trends
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients and team members
- Skills in retail sales, upselling techniques, and retail math to maximize revenue opportunities
- Experience with additional beauty services such as hair styling, hair extensions, dermabrasion, or laser treatments is a plus but not mandatory
