Horton Plaza is an active living retirement community that is currently hiring for an experienced, dependable and Personal Care Director (Residential Care Coordinator).
This is an exempt, full-time, salaried, supervisory position that requires forty+ hours and five days per week, plus 24 hour emergency on-call status. Responsibilities include:
- Provide overall management and direction of the Personal Care Department
- Plan, implement and continually evaluate resident care needs within the Personal Care unit
- Develop, review and maintain individualized service plans
- Assist with daily care needs of residents including, bathing, toileting, dressing, medication administration, and all other ADL's
- Directly supervise and manage approximately 6–8 staff members, including onboarding, scheduling, coaching and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs) for residential and assisted living facilities
- Collaborate with residents, families, healthcare providers and other management
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to resident care
- Cover caregiving shifts when needed and provide personal care to residents as required to support staffing and resident needs
- Requires on-call availability as well as availability to respond to emergencies as needed
Must have excellent communication skills, enjoy working with seniors and be able to work independently as well as with a team.
LPN and Administrator license preferred but not required.
Must be able to lift 30+ pounds & walk for the duration of the day.
