Job Summary:
The Commercial Carpenter is a key person in any commercial construction project. This person must be experienced, self-motivated, hardworking, energetic, punctual, willing to learn new things, and able to follow instructions when given a task.

Key Responsibilities:
- Able to perform wall layout
- Install metal stud wall framing
- Hang & finish drywall
- Install metal door frames/hang doors/ install door hardware
- Installation of acoustic ceilings
- Installation of VCT/LVT/ceramic tile flooring.
- Perform minor concrete work- Install formwork/place & finish concrete
- Perform demolition (walls & ceiling/flooring / minor concrete demo/roofing, etc.)
- Basic woodworking skills (wood framing/sheathing-trim work, etc.)
- Installation of firestop system assemblies
- Helpful if experienced with the installation of raised access flooring
- Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels
- Knowledgeable with all hand tools & power tools
- Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment
- Moves necessary materials around the jobsite, as assigned
- Cleans up worksite debris
Carpenter Qualifications / Skills
- Must have dependable transportation
- Must pass background check and drug testing
- Attendance and punctuality- Must be at work every day and on time
- Personal appearance, proper hygiene, and appropriate work attire are required
- Possess basic hand tools
- Understand blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
- Attentive to detail and alert at all times to ensure safety
- Able to receive and follow instructions and communicate with supervisors & co-workers
- Some traveling may be required. JLJ will pay for any/all job-related travel expenses

Education & Experience Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Pay: $35,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
