Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and sanitation procedures
- Implement cleaning and sanitation protocols using appropriate detergents and equipment to ensure hygienic environments
- Handle laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and janitorial tools with proper manual handling techniques
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, polishing, and specialized floor care methods
- Manage outdoor work activities when required, including outdoor surface cleaning and debris removal
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand specific needs and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism
Experience
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments, including janitorial or custodial roles
- Familiarity with cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning methods, and sanitation procedures
- Knowledge of cleaning detergents and proper handling of cleaning equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Prior experience with laundry tasks and managing cleaning schedules to optimize time management
- Experience working outdoors or in varied environments is a plus
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Demonstrated ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks effectively
