Regional Multicultural Magnet School (RMMS) is seeking a compassionate, dedicated Intervention Specialist to join our Student Support Services team and help students in Grades 2-7 thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Why This Role Is Different
As an Intervention Specialist, you are an active member of a multidisciplinary team helping students overcome barriers to learning and develop the skills needed for greater independence and success.
You will:
- Provide targeted academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions
- Support students individually and in small groups
- Help develop organization, self-regulation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Implement intervention plans and accommodations aligned with student needs
- Collect student data and monitor progress
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, families, and support staff
- Foster positive behavior and inclusive learning environments
- Build meaningful relationships that promote student confidence, resilience, and engagement

Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:
- Associate's Degree, completion of at least 60 college credits, or Bachelor's Degree; OR
- High School Diploma and successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working with elementary or middle school students
- Experience supporting academic, behavioral, social-emotional, or executive functioning needs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical practice
Physical Requirements
- Ability to actively support students throughout the school day
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary
- Ability to complete required de-escalation and crisis intervention training
