About Smartliner
Smartliner USA makes custom-fit vehicle floor liners, cargo liners, other automotive accessories, positioned as the value-focused challenger to WeatherTech and Husky Liners. We sell direct-to-consumer through Shopify and across major marketplaces, and we're building out a content engine that shows our product doing its job in real trucks, SUVs, and daily drivers.
The Role
We're hiring a Content & Social Media Manager to be the face and hands behind our lifestyle and UGC-style content — and to own our day-to-day social presence. This is a talent-forward role: you'll be on camera regularly, so confidence in front of the lens matters as much as your editing skills. You'll plan shoots, capture footage, edit it, post it, and track what's working.
Responsibilities
- Shoot and edit lifestyle photo and video content featuring Smartliner products installed in real vehicles
- Create UGC-style content where you are the on-camera talent — this is a core, ongoing part of the role
- Plan, schedule, and manage daily posting across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms
- Build and maintain a rolling content calendar tied to product launches, promotions, and marketplace/DTC campaigns
- Coordinate with vehicle owners, local shops, or ambassadors for authentic install and fitment footage
- Repurpose content across paid social, marketplace listings (Amazon A+/video), email, and the DTC site
- Track engagement, follower growth, and content performance, and adjust based on what actually drives conversion
- Manage a lightweight influencer/ambassador seeding program
- Keep tone, visuals, and messaging consistent with brand voice across every channel
What You Bring
- A portfolio that shows you on camera — reels, TikToks, or UGC-style videos where you're the talent, not just the editor
- Strong video shooting and editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Rush, Final Cut, or similar)
- Experience owning a brand's social accounts and content calendar
- Comfort shooting around vehicles, trucks, and outdoor/garage settings
- Automotive, outdoor, or DTC lifestyle brand experience is a strong plus
- Self-direction — you can plan and execute a shoot with minimal oversight
Qualifications
- 2+ years creating social/video content for a brand, agency, or as a creator, with measurable results
- Proven on-camera presence and comfort presenting products naturally, unscripted, and in one take
- Proficiency with short-form video editing (CapCut, Premiere Rush/Pro, Final Cut) and basic photo editing (Lightroom or Photoshop)
- Hands-on experience managing Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts, including native analytics and scheduling tools
- Working knowledge of platform algorithms, trends, hooks, and posting cadences that drive reach and engagement
- Strong written communication for captions, scripts, and community replies in a consistent brand voice
- Ability to read performance data and turn it into content decisions
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for shoots; access to a vehicle is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, film, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Nice to have: experience with Shopify, Amazon A+ content, paid social, or influencer/ambassador programs
Pay: $58,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
