The Patriotic Pig started in 2016 as a BBQ food truck and catering company and has grown into one of North Richland Hills' favorite BBQ restaurants. We're looking for friendly, energetic people who genuinely enjoy serving others and creating a great experience for every guest who walks through our doors.
As a Cashier / Front Counter Team Member, you'll be the face of Patriotic Pig. Your primary responsibility is providing outstanding customer service while efficiently operating our Toast POS system. You'll also work alongside the rest of the team to help prepare the serving line, keep the restaurant stocked and organized, and ensure every guest receives the quality experience we're known for.
Here's what you'll be doing.
Guest Service
- Greet every guest with a friendly smile and positive attitude.
- Take customer orders accurately using our Toast POS system.
- Answer menu questions and make recommendations.
- Ensure every guest leaves with an exceptional experience.
Front Counter & Food Prep
- Help set up the serving line each morning by:
- Stocking takeout containers and supplies
- Portioning BBQ sauces
- Portioning pickles and onions
- Preparing salads
- Chopping onions and cilantro for tacos
- Slicing and packaging cheesecakes and desserts
- Assist with packaging online orders from DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, and other delivery services.
- Restock the serving line before and after meal rushes.
- Help maintain clean, organized workstations throughout the day.
Cleaning & Teamwork
- Break down boxes and remove trash as needed.
- Thoroughly clean the serving line and front counter area at the end of each shift.
- Jump in wherever needed to support your teammates during busy periods.
- Help maintain the high standards of cleanliness and food presentation our guests expect.

Job Details
Position: Part-Time or Full-Time
Pay: $10–15 per hour (based on experience)
Plus: Shared Tip Pool averaging an additional $5–6 per hour
Most of our Front Counter Team Members earn $15–21+ per hour after tips.
Preferred Experience
- 2+ years in restaurant front counter, cashier, serving line, or customer service experience
OR
- 2+ years as a server, waiter, or waitress
(Equivalent hospitality or retail customer service experience will also be considered.)
Requirements
- Must be available to work Sundays.
- Must obtain a Texas Food Handler Certificate within 7 days of hire.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
