The Teacher Assistant supports the lead teacher by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. The assistant teacher must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. The assistant teacher will assist the staff in implementing a quality educational program by developing positive relationships with the children and their parents, supervising children at all times, observing and documenting children’s interest and progress, and relaying that information back to parents and staff. Teacher Assistants are responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum under the direction of the Lead Teacher. Drivers are responsible for supervision and safe transportation to and from schools and trips for our B/A school program.
Must be 22 or older. Must have a High School Diploma or GED and 2 year childcare experience.
