The Renaissance Charter School 2 is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Interventionist to provide targeted academic support to students in need of additional assistance. This role includes delivering instruction to students participating in the Response to Intervention (RTI) process as well as providing Special Education Teacher Support Services (SETSS) when mandated by students’ IEPs. The ideal candidate will be student-centered, data-driven, and committed to ensuring that every learner can access and thrive within the general education curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
● Provide small-group and individualized intervention in literacy and/or mathematics to support students identified through the RTI process.
● Deliver SETSS instruction to students with IEP mandates, ensuring services are provided in compliance with state and federal regulations.
● Use assessment data to plan, implement, and monitor evidence-based interventions that accelerate student growth.
● Collaborate with classroom teachers to align interventions with grade-level instruction and promote continuity of support.
● Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring data for all RTI and SETSS students.
● Communicate regularly with families, teachers, and administrators regarding student progress and strategies for continued growth.
● Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that celebrates effort, perseverance, and improvement.
Qualifications:
- New York State Teaching Certification required, Students with Disabilities Certification preferred.
- Experience providing academic intervention and/or specialized instruction to diverse learners.
- Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills.
- Commitment to equitable and culturally responsive teaching practices. Preferred Qualifications
- Training or experience with structured literacy programs such as Wilson or Orton-Gillingham.
- Familiarity with progress-monitoring tools and intervention platforms.
- Experience supporting students across general education and special education settings.
Pay: $78,000.00 - $104,000.00 per year
