Maintenance Technician
Location: Oak Creek, WI (Onsite)
Salary: $39.00 – $42.00/hour + shift differential
Schedule: Full-Time | 12-Hour Continental Shifts
About the Role
Join a brand-new, state-of-the-art bakery facility focused on innovation, quality, and operational excellence. As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring high-speed production and packaging equipment runs efficiently, safely, and reliably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Shifts:
- AM Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- PM Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Continental (rotating schedule, including weekends)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on production and packaging equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and automated systems, including PLC-controlled and robotic equipment
- Partner with production teams during equipment setup, changeovers, and adjustments to minimize downtime
- Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in Kaizen events and support operational excellence programs
- Use CMMS/EAM systems to track and complete maintenance work orders
Qualifications
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing (food environment preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and automation systems
- Experience with:
- Motors, gears, pumps, VFDs
- PLC diagnostics and basic ladder logic (Siemens or Allen Bradley)
- Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and reliability-centered maintenance
- Experience using CMMS systems
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical certification or associate degree preferred
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
