Responsibilities
- Clear and clean tables promptly after guests leave, ensuring a pristine dining environment
- Assist servers by bussing tables efficiently and preparing them for new guests
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of tableware, chairs, and supplies following safe lifting practices
- Maintain sanitation standards by properly cleaning utensils, glassware, and dining areas
- Support food service operations by delivering dishes to tables and assisting with basic serving duties
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate table turnover and guest needs
- Uphold food safety and hygiene regulations throughout all duties to ensure a safe dining environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests
- Knowledge of sanitation, cleaning procedures, and food safety standards in the hospitality industry
- Experience with table setting, catering support, or kitchen assistance is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- A positive attitude with excellent customer service skills to enhance guest satisfaction
