Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and friendly table service, ensuring guests feel welcomed and valued from start to finish
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and process transactions smoothly with cash handling expertise
- Prepare and serve beverages, including cocktails, with precision and flair as a bartender, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards
- Clear tables promptly by bussing dishes and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
- Assist in food preparation and kitchen support when needed, demonstrating culinary experience and food handling knowledge
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, upselling menu items through suggestive selling techniques like OpenTable reservations or upselling strategies
- Maintain cleanliness of dishware and kitchen utensils as a dishwasher, ensuring proper sanitation procedures are followed at all times
- Support the team during busy hours by performing host/hostess duties such as greeting guests and managing waitlists
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Proven ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality guest service
- Experience with food preparation, serving, bussing, or hosting roles enhances your ability to excel in this multifaceted position
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest relations and customer service excellence
- Basic math skills for cash handling and cashiering responsibilities are essential
