First, let’s preface by noting that the position requires applicants to be either certified (preferred) or registered to become certified by CADTP, CAADE, or CCAPP.
We are hiring a full-time admissions counselor for a Monday-through-Friday day shift, including holidays. As such, you will help admit adults to detox, residential, or outpatient treatment. You will provide them with the ins and outs of the program, conduct clinical assessments, verify benefits, and explain insurance costs (e.g., copays/deductibles). You will coordinate the intake process, serve as the liaison with clinical/medical staff, and maintain close communication with referral sources.
The treatment center is in Berkeley, and the position requires an on-site presence with no remote options.
To be successful in the position, you must be well organized, have a great understanding of deadlines, and be a good communicator.
Qualifications:
- AOD certification or registration to become certified from CAADE, CADTP, or CCAPP
- ASAM Dimension certification (can be obtained upon hire)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and able to learn EHR software
